Catcher Yadier Molina had 4 hits and 4 RBI and Ian Kennedy took a no-hitter
into the 6th inning at SAFECO Field where the Tacoma Rainiers beat the North
Carolina Knuckleheads by the score of 6 to 2.
 
Molina made sure the Tacoma fans enjoyed themselves.  He blasted a two-run
home run in the 1st inning, banged out a single which was good for two runs
in the 3rd inning, laced a one-base hit in the 5th inning and doubled in the
7th inning.  Tacoma out-hit North Carolina for the game, 12 hits to 3.  
 
The win was credited to Kennedy(3-0) who went 8 innings allowing 2 runs.  The
right-handed Kennedy lost his no-hit bid when Miguel Cairo singled with two
outs in the 6th inning.  Ted Lilly(0-1) ended up with the loss.  He
surrendered 8 hits and no walks in 5 innings.

by Ichiro Suzuki who made the crowd happy when he laced a single which was
good for two runs.  Both teams ended up with 5 hits on the afternoon.

Lucas Duda cracked a homer and had 3 RBI at SAFECO Field as the Tacoma
Rainiers beat the Sparkle City Flyswatters 8 to 6.
 
Tacoma tallied 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning when they had 5 base
hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Duda who made the Tacoma fans a
happy lot when he rifled a three-run blast.  Sparkle City threatened in the
9th but Tacoma was able to put down the rally.  
 
Erik Bedard(1-0) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 7 innings. Bedard got
relief help from Kyle Farnsworth who gained credit for his 2nd save.  The
losing pitcher was Jake Westbrook(0-1).  He pitched 6 and 1/3 innings and

Kennedy(1-0) dominated Stockbridge hitters.  He gave up just 3 hits and 1 walk
