Ian Kennedy pitched a 3 hit shutout as the Tacoma Rainiers defeated the
Stockbridge Traders by the score of 3 to 0 at SAFECO Field.
Kennedy(1-0) dominated Stockbridge hitters. He gave up just 3 hits and 1 walk
in 9 innings. Tacoma managed only 5 hits on the night.
Jesse Litsch(0-1) ended up with the loss in relief. 'Kennedy pitched a gem of
a game', Rich Meyer recounted. 'He kept our batters off balance the entire
game.'
