separated the combatants at game's end.  The Tacoma Rainiers won by the
slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
 
Tacoma scored 2 runs in the 7th inning.  The key offensive moment was provided
by Ichiro Suzuki who made the crowd happy when he laced a single which was
good for two runs.  Both teams ended up with 5 hits on the afternoon.
 
Brandon McCarthy(1-1) got the win allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. McCarthy got
help from Kyle Farnsworth who earned his 4th save.  Mike Pelfrey(0-1) was
charged with the loss.
