Clayton Kershaw allowed Michael Swanson to rest his bullpen, tossing a
complete game at SAFECO Field as the Tacoma Rainiers won in their last at-bat
beating the Stockbridge Traders by the count of 3 to 2.
 
The game was won by Tacoma with a run in the 9th inning.  Corey Hart doubled.
Jamey Carroll stepped up next and he banged out a single giving Tacoma the
victory and sending the 48,600 home-town fans home happy.  Tacoma banged out
11 hits on the afternoon.  
 
The victory was credited to Kershaw(1-0) who went the distance, allowing 2
runs. Justin Masterson(0-1) was tagged with the loss.  He was touched for 11
hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.
