Corey Hart had 4 hits as the Tacoma Rainiers defeated the North Carolina
Knuckleheads in 11 innings 4 to 3 at SAFECO Field.
 
The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings.  Tacoma was victorious
in the 11th inning.  After an out was recorded, Ichiro Suzuki reached on an
error.  Suzuki got a good lead and stole second.  One out later, Hart came to
bat and doubled making Tacoma the winners and sending the 40,457 fans home
happy.  Tacoma finished with 12 hits while North Carolina ended up with 6.
 
The win was credited to Louis Coleman(1-0) who went 2 innings allowing no
runs. Sean Burnett(0-1) took the loss in relief.  He was the victim of a
defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.  
 
'Ahhh, how sweet it is,' Michael Swanson sighed.  'That win feels like a tall,
cool drink of water after spending far too much time in the desert lately.'
