Michael Pineda had 2 base hits at SAFECO Field where the Tacoma Rainiers beat
the Newport News Builders 1 to 0.
 
Newport News pitcher Rodrigo Lopez(0-4) gave up the game's only run in the 3rd
inning.  That was all Pineda(7-2) needed.  Tacoma finished with just 6 hits
in the victory.  
 
Pineda got help from Kyle Farnsworth who was credited with his 14th save.
