Clayton Kershaw mowed down 11 D.C. batters at SAFECO Field where the Tacoma
Rainiers beat the league door-mat D.C. Bulldogs by the score of 1 to

Kershaw(16-5) dominated D.C. hitters.  He didn't allow much, just 6 hits and
no walks in 9 innings.  D.C. had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
 
Phil Coke(0-3) was the loser in relief.  Michael Swanson was asked about the
performance of Kershaw, 'He had his good stuff out there tonight.  The fans
really get into it when the strikeouts start mounting up - and that seems to
give him even more adrenalin.'
