Catcher Yadier Molina had 4 hits at SAFECO Field as the Tacoma Rainiers beat
the Illinois Gamblers in 10 innings 5 to 4.
 
The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings.  Tacoma won the game in the
10th inning.  After two were out Jose Tabata jump-started the rally as he
banged out a single.  Mike Carp next to the plate and he blasted a two-run
home run giving Tacoma the win much to the delight of the home town crowd.  A
wild and woolly affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.  
 
Brian Fuentes(1-0) went 2/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the win. Mariano
Rivera(0-1) was the loser in relief.  He pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing 2
hits and no walks.
