Glen Perkins went 3 solid innings as the Indian River Redfish beat the Tacoma
Rainiers by a score of 5 to 3.
Colby Lewis(3-0) earned his pay with a solid performance for Indian River. He
went 6 innings surrendering 9 hits and no walks. Lewis recorded 8
strikeouts. Indian River had a total of 7 hits for the game.
Lewis got relief help from Perkins who gained credit for his 1st save. The
loss was charged to Ian Kennedy(5-2). He served up 3 homeruns in his 7
innings.
The win by Indian River was very good news as they had been 1-9 of late. Now
their seasonal record improves to 19-7. With this loss, Tacoma has a 6-4
record of late, 24-11 overall.
