Tacoma Rainiers broke the deadlock in their last at bats, pulling out a 5 to
4 win over the Canyon Diablo Critters and sending their hometown fans home
smiling.
 
The game was decided in the bottom of the 9th inning.  Jamey Carroll drew a
walk.  Jose Tabata was next and he drew a walk.  After an out was recorded,
Yadier Molina stepped up to the plate and he drew a walk to load the bases.
Ryan Howard struck out, unable to help the rally.  Mark Reynolds stepped into
the box and stroked a base-hit resulting in a mighty exciting win for Tacoma
and the 45,943 home town fans in attendance.  Overall Tacoma out-hit Canyon
Diablo 10 to 5.  
 
The victory went to Kyle Farnsworth(1-1) who went 1 inning, allowing 1 run.
Cory Luebke(1-2) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He surrendered 1 hit and
2 walks in 2 and 1/3 innings.
