Ryan Doumit touched them all and had 2 RBI at SAFECO Field as the Indian River
Redfish came back dramatically to top the Tacoma Rainiers by the score of 7
to 5.

Indian River scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning plating 3 runs on 3
hits. Doumit initiated the scoring when he smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'.
Dee Gordon came next and he laced a one-base hit. After an out was recorded,
David Freese stepped up to the plate and he lifted one out of the park for a
two run home run. Skip Schumaker was up next and he drew a walk. Danny
Espinosa came up to bat and drew a walk. Jacoby Ellsbury extended the rally
and was hit by a pitch. Mark Teixeira got his chance to keep things going,
but he went down on strikes. Indian River had 10 hits overall, while Tacoma
had 6.

Michael Stutes(3-4) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Glen
Perkins earned the save, his 4th. Kyle Farnsworth(1-2) was the losing
pitcher in relief. Indian River knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 3
runs in 2 innings.

Farnsworth was feeling apologetic in the locker room, 'I sure let that one get
away. What a miserable feeling to let the guys down; and our fans. One
minute things are looking great, then. BOOM, it's over with! I just hope I
get a chance to redeem myself real soon!'
